The Challenge
Aging Cannon line from 2003 had density tolerance drifting to ±3 kg/m³ and required full retooling for new SKU launches. Replacement quote from Cannon was EUR 1.4M with 32-week lead time. Capex ceiling was set at $700K, and production downtime over 8 weeks would cost the OEM core retail customers.
Our Solution
URexceed delivered URX-TURNKEY package with custom multi-cavity mold (3 cabinet sizes) and URX-FOAM-60 hydraulic piston machine at $620K. 14-week delivery hit before old line shutdown. Commissioning included operator training, recipe storage for 12 SKUs, and Türkiye spare parts hub registration. Density tolerance returned to ±1 kg/m³.
