Challenge
The manufacturer runs its own line on European-brand foaming equipment and needed new cabinet-foaming tooling that would fit that line without rework. The buying team had never worked with us, sat thousands of kilometres away, and midway through received a lower quotation for a comparable mould from another supplier. Three questions decided the purchase: can the supplier be trusted sight unseen, will the mould fit the line and reduce interference when the cabinet is demoulded, and can the whole delivery be kept under control.
Solution
Before quoting we asked for the 3D drawing of the cabinet in production and built the mould around the interface and process of the existing line. The design uses a retractable inner panel: after foaming and curing the panel retracts inward to free demoulding clearance, so the cabinet comes out with less interference. When the lower quote appeared we did not match it — we re-explained the structure, the demoulding approach and the full delivery package (lead time, packing, weight, HS code) so the buyer could compare complete solutions rather than one number. The quotation went out with two workshop videos of mould assembly and adjustment; a one-line message revived the project after a 40-day pause.
