PU Refrigerator Freezer
Mold Fixture

Refigerator/freezer mold fixtures (also known as mold jigs or mold carriers) are essential components in refrigerator/freezer production lines, responsible for holding, heating, aligning, and clamping the mold sets during polyurethane injection and curing.

Introduction of Refrigerator/Freezer Mold Fixture

Structural composition: Each fixture consists of a top frame, a guide column frame, a moving frame and a lifting drive device.

Top fixture frame: The top frame consists of a top frame, a front baffle, a rear baffle and its adjustment device, a side mold locking wheel, a pneumatic mold locking device, a mold locating pin, etc.

  • Top frame: welded with profiles not less than 100x200x6 and steel plates, and then processed after aging to remove stress. Used to install front and rear baffles, mold locking devices and lifting drive devices, etc.
  • Front and rear baffles: made of cast aluminum plates, with copper circulating water pipes precast inside the cast aluminum template. Connected to the top frame through a hinge structure, and reliably locked with the bottom plate.
  • Side panel locking wheel: used to lock the side panel
  • in place, with 3-point locking on each side to prevent the middle of the side panel from bulging during foaming, ensuring the foaming quality of the box.
  • Mold locking device: composed of a cylinder, a connecting rod and a locking hook, with 4-point or 6-point locking designed according to the specific situation of the mold.

Moving frame and drive system: It consists of 4 lifting cylinders, moving frame, etc.

  • The left and right side panels are made of cast aluminum plates, the thickness of the two side wall panels is not less than 100mm, and the copper pipe water circulation pipeline is embedded inside.
  • Box input and output device: composed of a drive motor reducer, a conveyor synchronous belt and a bracket; The left and right two synchronous belt conveyor structures are used to ensure the stability of the box conveying, and the pulley strength and rigidity are reliable.
  • Bottom plate: composed of cast aluminum plate and steel structure frame. The method of sticking cast aluminum plate on the steel structure frame can ensure the strength of the bottom plate and effectively avoid the bottom plate from breaking.
  • The closing height of the fixture: about 1000mm.

Lifting drive device: The fixture is driven by an upward-mounted cylinder, which has the function of fast fixture rise (fall) and slow mold closing (opening) process, so that the fixture can be lifted and lowered smoothly without shaking.

FAQ

What types of products are your mold fixtures suitable for?

A: Our mold fixtures are designed for PU foaming of refrigerator and freezer components, including cabinet bodies, doors, worktops, counters, and display case panels. We offer custom solutions for both domestic and commercial refrigeration units.

Can your fixtures handle multiple product sizes?

A: Yes. We offer modular mold fixtures that support quick changeover between different product sizes and models. Fixtures can be adapted with adjustable clamps or replaceable templates to produce multiple SKUs on the same line.

What clamping systems are available?

A: We provide manual, pneumatic, electric motor-driven, and hydraulic clamping systems based on your automation level and production scale. Each system ensures secure mold alignment and precise pressure control during foaming.

How is mold temperature controlled?

A: Our fixtures support steam heating, oil temperature control, or water heating systems. The choice depends on your production speed, material type, and energy availability. Typical mold temperature ranges from 30°C to 70°C.
