Anti-fog is heated-perimeter wattage + door seal geometry working together. Our UDM-COMBO door mould sets the seal channel geometry for proper Schott / Saint-Gobain dual-pane door fit; we ship the heated perimeter strip with calibrated 4 W/m wattage zoned by climate (tropical / temperate / cold). Field anti-fog failure rate drops from 6% to <0.5% over 24 months.
Retail-chain tender requires ENERGY STAR + EU Ecodesign — my last cabinet failed both pull-down tests
Pull-down tests fail when foam thermal performance + cabinet airflow + compressor sizing don't align. We ship the line with a pull-down to -40°C test rig built in, with sensors at 12 points inside the cabinet. Foam Quality Visualization — what closed-cell structure actually looks like
The single biggest predictor of refrigerator cabinet thermal performance is the foam cell structure. Closed-cell ratio, average cell diameter and density uniformity decide whether your cabinet holds -18°C in 35°C ambient — or fails the EU Ecodesign type-test. How we measure it: Every shipment of PU raw materials runs through pilot foaming + SEM cell-structure check at our lab.
